September Meet and Greet
 The Lewiston Clarkston Swingers, Meet and Greet will be on the 3rd. at 9PM at a Boomers Basement.We are inviting every one to bring your darts, and pool sticks. We do have some extra ones. There will be 3 Red Roses on the table. to show where we are. Now!! If you have a better place in mind to meet, we would be very happy to hear about it..  But remember that it has to sale hard liquor and bear. Please,,If you think you are going be there, please leave a message here, stating about what time you expect to arrive there. So we will not be there alone.  We do thank you very much.{=} |

I'll make every effort to make the next m&g at 9pm, wherever it is. Considering the crowds, parking and general downtown/inner-city type atmosphere I wonder if a smaller, quieter neighborhood bar might work a little better..............the Hideaway, something on that order.
Because of the valley's population and general lack of interest it's not likely we are going to get a big bunch of folks like the Spokane/CdA area. Anyone that's been to the White Rose can't help but wonder why we don't get at least a few more people showing up. It's probably the concern over being identified as a swinger-type, I guess. Anyway, with the Valley's population, being over 50K, there certainly could be a better showing.
Those considering becoming involved need to be assured that they won't be the subject of gossip, harassment or exposure and will not be compelled to participate when they don't feel like participating.

I thank you sunrunner83501 for your comments, I do agree totally. We do need to find a better place to meet or chang some thing at least. I do like the place you suggested. But it is a beer bar only. So if any one can come up with some ideas, we would like hear them. But remember it has to be some place we will like to go. If you have any suggestions what we can do to improve where we are now, we'll listen to them also. also, some people like Hard Liqueur and some beer. So consider that as your thinking. I'm open to all suggestions. I can think of nothing else. but Hopefully the Roses will help. thank you all and see you next month. | ||

Yes, the Hideaway was just and example. Since I rarely get to a bar (I've not been there in over 10 years) it's all I could come up with. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for a place.
A few weeks ago I attended the White Rose's barbeque/camp out. Mark and Darlene know how to set these things up and I had a nice time even though I could stay only for a few hours.

Barleyhoppers at the Red Lion might work. I don't know what's at the Quality Inn in Clarkston or any of the other hotels. The way the economy is you'd think any of the places would be eager to host. Anyone else have any ideas? | ||

Wow Very good Ideas, I'll check into them for next month. and I will have every thing ready for October 1st's Meet and Greet. Will that be ok for every one? A bit to late now for September's M&G. I thank you all for the responce. Barleyhoppers may work better I think. But will try both.  | ||

Just a thought, but why not do a joint M&G with Moscow/Pullman and bounce it from down here to up there every other month?? Part of why we never go, and not offense, but every time we stopped by our local MG, everyone was out of our age bracket or most everyone that we could id as One Night Stand Girls'ers. This makes it a little hard for us as we are interested in cpls close to our age, or single M or F about our age.
But just a thought but may be a house party would be good? or just the joint MG ?

I think that's a really good idea. Sometimes we tend to migrate and isolate into tightly-knitted age groups, causing others to stay away. There's nothing wrong with attending any m&g simply to socialize and share thoughts. Keeping in mind that folks need time to decide who they would like to try to hook up with, house parties, camping socials, beach gatherings and the mixing of age and special interest groups provide the setting. The difficult part is getting people to attend without the concern of exposure or the feeling of being out of place.
One-on-one contacts with interested people with someone being a mentor might help. | ||

Sorry about not being late, but wife didn't get off work till after 9 pm. but we did show up around 9:30. We had 3 couples there and one single male yesterday. and had a great time. I'm looking into having the next Meet & Greet at Barleyhoppers at the Red Lion. Please let me know what you think. and if you'll attend. I haven't recieved a answer from the Moscow/Pullman group yet. I'll try again and see if they are interested. And for the ones that did show up yesterday I do dearly thank you and hope it will not be the last time. | ||

Whew, that's a relief. After spending all day installing a gas tank on a Ford truck, laying in the driveway, I was kinda worn out. When I sat at Boomers for two beers and I was almost the only person there I thought something happened so I wandered home. I think Barleyhoppers would be a good choice...............I'll be there | ||

I've accepted the moderator offer, even though it's something new to me. My swinging resume' certainly isn't extensive but it has been diverse.
Understanding the need for absolute privacy and discretion is critical. The thought of meeting someone known to you at a swinging function is a concern of most of us, but it can be at least minimized if we are low-profile, accepting and tight-lipped.
Nobody I'm aware of is into every aspect of this lifestyle, or even close to it. Some prefer swinging couple-on-couple in private, others want to explore their bisexuality, there are folks that enjoy video and photo sessions and Ive attended groups where some participants were actively sexually engaged while the rest were chatting, drinking and grilling burgers and not really even noticing. The activities and preferences are unending and we need to avoid treading on the preferences of others lest we chase them away..........understanding that some might need chasing away.
With the Valley's population being around 50000 we should be able to attract more interested people than in the past. Anyone that has ever considered some part of swinging, please contact me. I'm not going to repeat what you say or identify you.
